About Me

Brigid Haines

Hi, I'm Brigid and I love to lead walks. In particular, I love to help people, especially women, who might struggle to get out walking, to get started.

I know how hard this can be from personal experience. A few years ago I faced some serious health issues which made me realise I had to look after myself better. Combining a demanding job at Swansea University with raising a family had left me little time for this. Now I am fitter than I have ever been and I want to motivate others to experience the many benefits of walking.

I also love to show off my local area. I have lived in Swansea for over thirty years and never tire of the sheer beauty of the Gower Peninsula. It is such a joy to live by the sea on a beautiful sandy bay. We welcome visitors who love it too.

I offer a bespoke service, designing walks around individual clients or groups of clients.

You will be safe with me. I am a trained Lowland Leader and Health Walks Leader. I am insured, DBS checked and am a qualified First Aider.
